Position: Field Services Technician – full time permanent

Description:

This position typically involves working with other experienced Sequoia field service technicians, and as experience dictates, working independently on projects including fabrication, construction/installation, and operations/maintenance of all manner of insitu soil and groundwater remediation systems.  The systems include soil vapour extraction, multi-phase extraction, groundwater treatment, chemical oxidation projects, and a variety of other systems and processes.  The project sites are located throughout western Canada with the Calgary based personnel mostly working in Alberta including towns like Edson, Edmonton, Calgary, and other urban and rural locals.

The candidate must be mechanically inclined with any experience related to plumbing, electrical, electrical control systems, motors, pumps, etc. an asset.  Sequoia will provide training and on the job training to the candidate based on their experience level.

Clean driving record and good driving skills are a requirement.  Any experience towing trailers and operating equipment is an asset.

Compensation:

Commensurate with experience ranging from $18/hr and up.

Position: Apprentice Welder – full time permanent

Description:

This position typically involves working in our Calgary fabrication facility with other experienced Sequoia personnel including Journeyman welders, electricians, mechanics, at fabrication and assembly of equipment related to environmental remediation systems and processes.   The systems include soil vapour extraction, multi-phase extraction, groundwater treatment, chemical oxidation projects, and a variety of other systems and processes.  The apprentice welder would work primarily with a Journeyman welder fabricating vessels, skids, piping, oil water separators, and all manner of equipment.  In addition tasks would include assembly of equipment, assisting with testing equipment, preparing equipment for shipment to jobsites, occasional fieldwork related to the required equipment installations.

The candidate would be enrolled in or have completed technical school and be working towards Journeyman status.

All other mechanical experience is an asset.  The candidate must have a clean driving record and any experience with towing trailers, operating equipment and general mechanical ability is an asset.

Compensation:

Commensurate with experience ranging from $18/hr and up.
