• Highly accurate easy flow monitoring
• Debris shedding turbo-prop
• Lightweight, rugged, and reliable
• Telescoping handle with staff gauge
• Padded carrying case for easy storage
• CE Certified
• Used by water professionals worldwide for over 12 years
• Ideal for measuring flows in streams, rivers, canals, stormwater, wastewater inflow and infiltration studies and industrial process waters

OPERATION
Turbo-Prop Sensor:
The Flow Probe incorporates the unique Turbo-Prop propeller sensor that uses the positive displacement technique for velocity sensing. The Turbo-Prop is designed to shed debris and is protected inside a 2″ (5 cm) diameter housing. The probe housing may be placed directly on the bottom of pipes or stream-beds for measuring low flows down to 2″ (5 cm) in depth. The flow meter pro- peller rotates freely on its shaft with no mechanical interconnections for minimal friction. The Turbo-Prop, is easily removed for cleaning or replacement.

Probe Handle:
The Flow Probe handle can telescope from 3.7 to 6 feet (1.1 to 1.8 m) (FP111), 5.5 to 15 feet (1.7 to 4.6 m) (FP211) and 2.5 to 5.5 feet (.7 to 1.7 m) (FP311) in length. It is construct- ed of anodized aluminum for light weight and long life. The Flow Probe may be easily extended up to 25 feet (7.6 m) in length using PVC pipe and an extension cable. This allows for sewer flow measurements from street level and measuring of stream flows from low bridges. A 3 ft. (.9 m) Mylar coated staff gauge (graduated in hundredths of a foot and centimeters) is attached to the lower section of the water velocity probe for instant water depth measurements and accurate propeller positioning.

True Velocity Computer:
The water velocity computer receives an electrical signal from the propeller, amplifies the signal, and converts the reading to feet per second (or meters per second, depend- ing on programming). The large LCD screen displays average, minimum, and maximum water velocity readings. Up to 30 sets of time and date stamped data points can be stored in the computer with the push of a button. These data points can be reviewed on the computer screen for later analysis. The com- puter has a water-resistant housing and incorporates a unique four-button operation for changing functions and resetting the dis- play. The water velocity computer is pow- ered by a non-replaceable battery that will last approximately five years with normal use. Low battery warning will also display as appropriate.
